Box of tissues at the ready…CHECK

One of my favourite books is ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ by John Green.  It is an amazing book, but it is a tear-jerker…you have been warned! ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ is a story about two teenagers who suffer from cancer, and inevitably fall in love.  If you are not one for romance novels, then this book is definitely not for you.  I read this book twice and loved every minute of it, it is beautifully written and the plot is captivating.  ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ was the first John Green book that I read, but I have now read nearly all of his books, these include ‘An Abundance of Katherines’ and ‘Looking for Alaska’.  ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ is also the New York Times #1 Bestseller (so you don't need much of a recommendation from me!).  I think that the quote on the cover, from Jodi Picoult, sums up the book really well: ‘Electric…filled with staccato bursts of humour and tragedy’.

John Green is one half of the YouTube channel called ‘VlogBrothers’ (making videos with his brother Hank), they have over 1 million subscribers and have been making videos since 2007.  If you like his books I suggest you should check out their videos.

Another one of my favourite books is ‘The Book Thief’ by Marcus Zusak.  I have put this as a footnote because it is another tear-jerker.  It tells the story of a young girl living in Nazi Germany who steals books after her parents are sent to a concentration camp.  Again, this is wonderfully written and has historical references.

Please tell me if you like these books, have read them already or have any recommendations.

    2. Sorry it's taken so long for me to reply! But i loved your review of Billy and Me, glad you liked it!

Why don't you follow and read the reviews on other book blogs? Then when you comment on a review, put your blog link down so people who read it will go check it out?

You could also do some sort of read however many books in a month challenge and get other bloggers to join in? They could then write a post about what they read and post a link to your blog? Or what about guest reviews?

      Hope this helps! xxx
